This film may not be as good as the first, but I believe that everyone can agree that this is one of the best Disney animated sequels out there as there are many that a very disappointing. The songs were good, the characters were likeable and the story itself is a very fun version of Romeo and Juliet. The animation is quite messy in some places and some of the acting felt forced even for an animated (kids) film but overall a pleasant sequel to an amazing movie. 7.5/10

They overused CGI in this film. Aquaman didn’t really have much of a character after the first 20 minutes, after that he was basically just a guy who is about to be king. The producers also overused the amount of random explosions. Acting by some characters were quite poor but not all of the time. Story telling was a bit stupid in some places. The comedy was very poor and blunt but some parts were quite funny. His costume at the end was amazing and the final battle was actually very good. Most fight scenes in the film were very good other than the first. Both villains were good. I did enjoy watching the film but overall I would give it a 2.7/5

The mechanics are stupid, nothing ever fully renders in, combat just doesn’t work half the time, platforming has to be basically perfect to succeed some jumps and some parts the combat sequences can be so unfair. However, I do enjoy the exploration and just the fact that I’m a Jedi even if he feels really underpowered for a Jedi. But these don’t save the fact that nothing works as it should. 4/10

This has to be by far the most boring Marvel movie I have ever watched. They tried to create a dark and serious atmosphere/tone for the movie but removed any type of comedy for the movie. There were no defining moments within the film, the acting was relatively poor and I was emotionally attached to none of the characters whatsoever (other than Eric). This is a spoiler but how they did Mystiques death was absolutely dreadful. Charles became a complete stranger to what his character actually is and a lot of characters screen time felt pathetic for what they should’ve been given. Some characters (like quicksilver and night crawler) basically did nothing after the spaceship scene in the beginning. The ending felt very rushed and made me feel not only disappointment but actual anger. This was an absolute embarrassment for the x-men franchise (especially as the finale of this universe) and is on of the worst x-men films to come out. I honestly preferred Last Stand and Apocalypse because both those films had either defining moments, great comedy or cool and fun action sequences whereas Dark Phoenix felt like it only had the Spaceship scene at the start of the entire film. Absolutely awful and a disgrace to the X-men franchise.
