I have to admit I got hooked quickly to this show. I love mystery shows and I remember Nancy Drew growing up. This did not disappoint (initially). I quickly binge watched the 1st season as I loved the story line and how it stayed true to the Nancy Drew mystery novel while remaining current. By the middle of season 2 things changed. The story line became more dark with emphasis on sex scenes, sci-fi paranormal, and current culture (what was in the news) rather than developing the characters and still staying true to the Nancy Drew characters. Personally I want to be entertained and not be forced a writer’s opinion of current events. The second half of season 2 through season 4 seemed to go downhill with each passing season. I found myself skipping parts of an episode or full episodes. I ended disappointed and wish the way season 1 was done would have remained and the characters evolve around that writing style. I am sure the cast and writers may disagree with me, but again that is why it’s my review and opinion. Excellent cast throughout.
