How can it be the same exact story and yet actually be GOOD this time?
There were some just "gee whiz" moments that had me smiling. And lots of thrills. Everything that sucked about the 1st go-round was gone.
What really made it work for me was how the side characters really helped move it along. Especially Joe Morton's Silas Stone and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.
it took out a LOT of what made the original stupid. Especially how in the original they just casually leave the mother box on top of a car unattended.
