I love this book. Everyone should read it. The author writes so lyrically, yet is a scientist, a professor of biology. He describes 12 trees in very different habitats and the human interaction with them. I have a Kindle, so I Google each tree so I can see how they look as well. David George Haskell is not self-righteous.
