Heidi Jo Rigsby

The only reason I give this show two stars instead of one is the scenery. It really is an idyllic little town. That being said, each episode of this show reminds me of a shortened version of a Lifetime movie. The books may be great, but this show is poorly written and all of the acting is amateurish. Kreuk’s character comes off as an older version of Lana that she played in Smallville decades ago, and the execution is as subpar now as it was then. There is no storyline intrigue and the characters don’t give you a reason to care about them one way or another. I don’t know if this is supposed to be a limited series, but I’ll be shocked if it isn't - planned or no. There’s no way this gets renewed. I gave it 4 and a half episodes, but I’m out. Don’t waste your time.
