The book is really good, but it looks like the writers and producers wanted to make it a little woke for so they do not offend people. It is a murder mystery. Why can’t they leave it alone? Mickey is Hispanic. His driver is not a white surfer, but a black lesbian, and it has to show how smart and moral she is compared to everyone else. Lastly, Harry Bosch is replaced by a black cop. If you write it and produce it like the book, you would make more money and get better ratings.
