DO NOT watch Poor Things if you're among the 50% of women who have been a victim of sexual harassment. This movie's depiction of SA is harmful and utterly clueless. On top of that, its take on the female coming of age experience is disinterested and extremely reductive: Bella's development has almost been fully reduced to her sexual awakening. What the director doesn't seem to understand is that women become emancipated in spite of their objectification and the abuse they endure, not because of it.
