Unless they were intentionally trying to make a tongue-in-cheek show, this is one of the stupidest shows ever made. One cliche after another. The super cool New Yorker comes to save poor little Austin from a host of stereotypes. How? By hiring diversely yet STILL stereotypical characters. What would Texas do without Rob Lowe’s enlightened take on skin care? How did Texas survive without the wisdom of their betters from NY? The Hollywood hubris is so overt it’s mind boggling. Apparently, only the enlightened New Yorkers know how to be inclusive, but only to stereotypes. The only way this show is at all entertaining is you want a good night of unintentional satire. Should get 0 stars but it’s not an option. Maybe they should have actually VISITED Texas before writing about it.
