I was so disappointed by dead reckoning. It squanders vast talent with a plot and script that are gratingly awful. Mission impossible is, and always has been, about action set pieces, but it still needs some form of coherent narrative to hold it together. The film is at least 45 minutes too long, and in trying to dial everything up to eleven, remains stuck firmly at one.
Really best avoided.
