Awful movie. Young man was very irresponsible and it was not a shock when he lost the dog almost immediately. I was hoping for a tear jerker, but instead I was left furious by the “protagonists” lack of care for his dog. You cannot convince me a man who cares about their dog will let a puppy run free in an unfamiliar place with many distractions. The main character is definitely the villain of the story and poor Gonkers should go to a responsible home with people who understand what it means to keep an animal safe. “Local man learns actions have consequences” could have been the title of the movie because this young man has no common sense and no business owning a dog.
