If it was possible, I would give this movie no stars. Overall this would be a great movie, if you didn't know the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. Whoever wrote the script probably didn't even read the books. Where's the fight with Ares, infact where is he at all? Why are they 17 year Olds? The Prophecy happens when Percy turns 16, ruining the entire plot to the series. Annabeth's and Percy's first interaction was not romantic/sexual. She said to him, "You drool in your sleep." She did not like Percy at first. Rick Riordan described the movie and I quote, "My life's work going through a meat grinder." He also said that he hasn't even watched the movies, because he saw the script and said, "The script as a whole is terrible." I am truly hoping the Disney + series will great. But to be fair the bar is set pretty low. I recommend this if you haven't read the Percy Jackson series. If you have turn away before you scar yourself.
