Not certain how this has a 95% of Google users giving this book a thumbs up, but only has a 2.5 star average here.
This book was a lot of fun & a really engaging read. The author brings a Scandinavian POV, and clearly draws from the same lore & source material as Tolkien. Really in-depth world-building, rich story, and interesting characters. This story is very much a 'what if' or hidden history of our own world, and I'm a fan of how the author answers the question of where the myths from that part of the world came from, and what happened to them.
