I have watched many interesting Churchill movies. This one seems to be poorly directed and written, with what I assume as dubious factual content and misplaced invented dramatisation. I started becoming disappointed with Mr Cox slipping into a Scottish accent and Scottish style inflections in his portrayal of Churchill. The long scenic or close up shots held for minutes to seemingly deliver emotional weight without dialogue with its dramatic background music, missed the mark for me. I can’t say that I enjoyed this movie, which I think many might find disappointing, when there are so many well directed, scripted and acted movies made on this subject /great historic character.
