This film is a remarkable achievement! It should not be missed. It is a true story. We had to look up the fate of Rudolph Hoss and his family. They fled, Hoss was arrested, tried and hung (at Auschwitz). The rest of the family members hid their identity but their stories and fates are known. The daughter who was 7-11 years old when the family lived in the commandant's house revealed her identity publicly, well worth knowing her story. One issue raised by the film is how a murderer as a family member effects the relatively innocent family members. How do they deal with it. And then again, we are part of the human family! How do we deal with this?
