This movie is like a Marmite! You will either Love it or Hate it, there’s no middle ground. If you appreciate art in its true form with no judgements then probably you should watch it! While the storyline is a cliche with the age old father and son sentiment, the movie is still worth watching for the efforts Ranbir, Anil and Bobby has fuelled in. In terms of the storyline yes, it’s a bit lengthy and could have been easily wrapped up well within 2.5 to 3hrs. However, Sandeep reddy has chosen to make it more intense by adding the extra minutes on the clock but the story just melts in. If you have loved it through the half way then you wouldn’t mind the 3+ hrs of screen time. The story just unfolds itself and makes you think it makes sense. The movie is high octane with action scenes blended with family emotions. While the love story seems quite Alpha as Ranbir describes in the movie it’s got its own charm. If you are a father, then I wouldn’t be surprised if you shed a tear or two. The message is quite strong at the end which you will take home. Rashmika has tried quite hard to fit into Bollywood but her charms fail to impress the audience. There are a number of B-town heroines who fit into this role much appropriately. You will love Bobby’s 10 min screen time and his entry and energy through the end. With all due respect, if you are a feminist then you’re better off avoiding the movie. The movie is ahead of its time for Indian audiences and too raw for some classes of the society.

Story: Went to this movie with high expectations but realised it fell short of Prashant Neel’s creativity! The movie is a straight copy paste of Kannada movie Ugram! A low-budget movie like Ugram is being remade into Pan-India standards. It’s like eating pani puri in a 5-star hotel. How could the director possibly copy the entire script of his own movie including the dialogues and scenes. 80% of the movie matches with Ugram! Cast: While the movie boasts of actors from various South Indian languages, everyone has delivered their roles well. However, the movie is based on protagonist ‘Prabhas’. While he’s tried his best, he doesn’t look charming enough for a Hero. He looks quite pale and expressionless in most scenes. He lacks the punch the movie deserves. In short, his time is over! Shruthi hassan has done alright, but as there’s not much romance she doesn’t take the limelight. Prashant could have easily found a better alternate here. The movie also lacks in terms of overall entertainment and it’s not something you would watch on the big screen twice. If you are a Prabhas fan then yes, but if you are looking for an entertaining evening then you are better off waiting to see it on OTT.
