In my opinion, I think this is the kind of movie to watch before reading the book Don’t get me wrong, the actors were incredible but I feel, ultimately, it felt rushed and too many intimate convos were pushed out of the way. Also, many characters where vetoed and the remaining side characters got like 3 lines I’m aware that there was a time limit but everything felt so physically centered without any of the really character building conversations like in the book. The relationship between Harry and Alex didn't really develop, it felt like they just hated each other and then one day started dating. In summary, the movie was actually really okay but the thing is that it was so incredibly short and different from the book. The actors were lovely but the the director could have done much much better. I need like a 10 hour, book specific version LOL
