This is a fun book. As a fan of serious literature, I was taken aback by how ridiculous some of these premises were; main characters surviving impossible odds, secret organizations, a narrative that focuses on action, characters that act and feel as unrealistic as movie action heroes, over the top descriptions of gore, thinly veiled sexuality..... It all feels very immature. However, all of these facets work for the overall feeling which is just simple, guilty fun. Any fan of Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones will get what's going on here; don't think too hard. Turn your brain off for a moment and you'll greatly enjoy what is honestly a very fun story.
