Actually it was well directed and produced. Very much against type, Sandra Bullock pulls off a strong performance with a very solid supporting cast. I liked it...and although not fast paced it was very watchable. Grim subject matter handled well, and not clichéd. Not a blockbuster by any means, but certainly a very decent film tackling unpalatable issues. To those critics who thought it was muddled, contrived and dire.....good grief, give your oh-so superior heads a shake. If you want something more intellectual, read Shakespeare.
