Finished all 6 eps on netflix in one go only to realize I WANT MOREEE! That last scene zooming in on migi holy hell i got goosebumps. Cant wait for S2!

tbh i only decided to watch it for my childhood favorites, tony leung the legend, michelle yeoh the forever fmc of all great kung fu movies and fala chen, woot woot finally after years of being away from the big screen finally got to see her again but dayumm, didnt expect all that. gotta say not bad seeing how hollywood is finally showing authenthic kung fu moves instead of the mma hollywood version of kung fu. but then again they cant really get it wrong even if the wanted to with veterans like tony and michelle

Mmkay....ive seen quite a bit of negative reviews saying its not 'authentic' enough. Look, as a chinese, i'll tell ya, the show aint half bad. The plot is very much like a chinese light novel. Folks drilled on how nicky couldntve learnt much in 3 yrs blah blah blah, people, its a tv show, the fantasy bit draws A LOT from the structure of current chinese LN trends. Although i do have one main critism, which goes to the martial arts. Folks say it aint authentic enough, i can responsibly tell you this, they are using the five animal styles and yes those are the actual moves, BUT, (honestly idk how to translate this cuz its an ancient chinese saying used to describes the state of kung fu so go translate it yourself in keen, its called 有招无形，有形无招. Why i say this is because for example, sometimes you see a fancy move, it looks good, but thats it, nothing else, no strength, speed or skill in it. Its just for show, cant even kill a damn fly with those moves. Then sometimes, you get a really powerful punch or kick(finally), but that aint kung fu. I know action choreography is hard but srsly, if cw can see this, go hire an actual kung fu choreographer. I know for a fact there are tons of these talents in hong kong living on a minimum wage cuz the hong kong movie industry is dying. Or get sammo hung's son jimmy if ya cant afford the hung crew lol, or ku huen chiu since he worked on badlands with daniel wu. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading and yeah i would recommend to watch it, just try not to be to serious on the history or martial arts related stuff. Like in the LNs, they are all made up but inspired by historic bits or myths. Hope yall will enjoy it like i did ;)

half way thru s3 lovin it so far but i really gotta point out cuz its been buggin the hell outta me....those are japanese costumes and decors...they aint chinese lmao. *inserts mega face palm gif*

overrated. feels like a b rated comedy. the whole oldman in videogames thing could be improvised i reckon. sucks compared to the 1st one. i stopped watching midway thru the movie. bad jokes, bad writing. the actors did their best....
