A great classic, though the novel is not a personal favourite compared to other King stories, and a fantastic read for Halloween. Rereading really scared me a lot with the unhinged and horrific bullying and abuse from the mother and how it builds up to a truly hellish prom night that's memorable but incredibly disturbing. Though my main gripe of the novel is the epistolary moments as some entries make the story flow better than others. King's narration is liquid smooth and witty. Accurate rating would be a 4.3/5 stars.
