What a wonderful world tim Burton created. I love a good scum bag creep better than most, but what better plot device for dealing with the morbid? We all fear death, and I like to think it's films like these that gives us the freedom to come to terms with it.
As far as cinematography and production value, it's a Tim Burton movie. I think it's fair to say he is nearly a master of his craft, and that I eagerly await his masterpiece.
I'm not a huge fan of Jenna Ortega, I feel her inclusion was a bit lazy... But hey, the weird era of Television is definitely my favorite. And although I haven't watched her spin off series, I do appreciate the fanfare it brings to those cult classics.
Overall I enjoyed it and I was smiling from ear to ear. My father recently passed, and just imagining my father in some bizarre limbo world was a very sweet gift. I'll definitely recommend it to my family.
