As a Hispanic veteran with PTSD and a Purple Heart recipient myself this show is just too much, way over the top with the stereotypes, agendas, and just plain dumb forced “comedy”. Also, the political aspect is just toxic. If you don’t agree with their way of thinking you are evil. By the way not all Hispanic people are monolithic. The issue that I have is that you don’t have to remind everyone, every episode that you are gay, sentimental, and cry on every episode it was just way too much. Alex and Abuelita, Lydia (Rita Moreno) were the best characters the other two were drama, drama, and more drama.
