This movie is the visual version of the sensation you get when your leg falls asleep. It's so crunchy that I can't make out the vast majority of what's recorded, except the occasional post from a hipster's Snapchat story depicting a dark room illuminated by a TV. The only positive thing I got out of this movie was that I realized this is the key to immortality; watching this movie quadruples how long your time on this earth feels!
On a more serious note, this movie completely veers off of the beaten path with its style in every way, which makes for a very unique experience. Unfortunately, it doesn't depict that feeling of 'waking up all alone' or a the feeling that it's all a dream. As I jokingly mentioned before, it doesn't feel like much of anything other than a collection of hipster-y slideshows *trying* to be artsy.
The plot takes itself very seriously. I wish it hadn't. I kept getting vivid flashbacks to a roommate who would try way too hard to sell creepypastas to me by doing fake voices at random intervals, since that's the energy its giving.
Kevin ATE. And I don't mean in the skinny/iconic way, I mean he ate sh** and DIED; in a way that probably should have been shocking or unnerving, but I had expended all of my energy to care trying to move past the excruciating footage. I understand he is a very young child, but I'm almost certain you have to be intellectually failing yourself if you trust a strange, creepy voice that tells you to carve out your own eye. Ms. Gurl... I wish I had an edible for the duration of this movie.
This movie did not serve. She's certainly... Unique!
