I was a big fan of Death Stranding and had simple hopes for the sequel: at least a solid story and maybe a few fresh ideas. That’s it. But the second game feels repetitive, the plot is weak and unfinished, and somehow - America is great again. In the first game, adding Kojima’s friends as characters was quirky and kind of fun. In the sequel, they’ve doubled down, and now it just feels… suspicious. The soundtrack? Disappointing. I was never a huge Low Roar fan, but at least their music fit the atmosphere. This time, it doesn’t land at all. Some characters feel completely unnecessary—remove Rainy, Tomorrow, Dollman (seriously?), and nothing changes. And honestly, I’m starting to worry this franchise is turning into a hamster wheel: stylish, empty, and endlessly spinning.
