*spoliers in this*
take this with a grain of salt, if you like this book that great and you should like things even if other dont. but personally, i really didn't like it. i feel like the author was trying to tell three different stories, one that's a slice of life coming to age, another about racism with the tom Robinson trial, and then a mystery surrounding boo radley. i personally think the tom robinson trial was done really well, it got me hooked and engaged. though its the only part in this story that got me hooked and engaged. i thought the story was going to end after the tom trial, but it didn't, then i thought it was going to end after toms suicide, but then it kept going, then bob ewell came to try and kill jem and scout, which felt completely out of left field. and then they do a thing with boo radley where he saves them. im sorry for the rant, but this story feels very disconnected with way to many random moments in between. maybe its just because im a generation or two younger then the intended audience, but i would defiantly not saty this book was life changing like many of the other reviews do.
