Noelle Olazo

I had high expectations from this series, reading the initial reviews as well as being an admirer of Ro Woon (saw him in Tomorrow) and Jo Ba Ah (saw her in Military Doberman). I guess it was a bad sign when I fell asleep trying to watch Episode One twice. Plot-wise, the development of the love relationship between the leads made me tired. They're a couple, not a couple, back to couple, etc. The historical romance aspect would have been nice to develop, I thought it was a good touch to see familiar faces from the modern plotline (e.g. Mr. Kwon as a fellow soldier). There were some loopholes too, especially with the stalker line. Plus points for me were the actors who I think did their job well. I like Ha Jun as Mr. Kwon! I hope Mr Kwon get a spin-off drama of his own. Perhaps, he too experiences a love from the past as he enters the new phase in his career in the Blue House. He was so moved by the love between the shaman and nobleman/soldier, he became a changed man. Something along those lines..? Overall, an ok experience. The acting (except for the lady officemates) and sweet moments were the things that made me sit through.
