This is absolute garbage, honestly. First, let’s talk about the casting it’s actually so bad, omg. The whole budget clearly just went to the casting, and it’s so obvious as well. Not only that, but I’m sorry Jisoo doesn’t even fit that role, same with the actor for YJH. And the director openly admitting to using Jisoo for clout? That’s just yikes. Now, let’s talk about the main issue, which is the show itself . There are so many misconceptions, it’s clear that the director hasn’t even touched a single bit of the manhwa or the novel. But whatever let’s talk about the main issues on how many changes. First of all, SWORDS BEING REPLACED WITH GUNS this doesn’t even make sense. Why are you replacing props that were originally meant to be there? It actually fits the concept more, since Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is set in an apocalyptic world. Using a sword is far more reasonable than using a gun. Next is the roles the amount of roles being changed is insane. Why are you even changing roles?! You’re just making this an entirely different show. The amount of changes is actually just… wow. Saying Kim Dokja likes his father, when his father was the reason for his abuse and trauma and his mother’s suffering what?! And the part where he supposedly hates TWSA, when it was literally story made for him? What are you doing?!,then REMOVING HEEWONS SA STORY is SO FAR BEYOND Why are you suddenly making ORV a happy, lovey-dovey story? It’s weird, to be honest to change a persons past. You’re changing the entire show like wtf?! Even the name itself has been changed. Now, let’s talk about the director blaming his trash show on the OG fans. That’s actual bullshit. How are you going to blame the original fans when they’re just pointing out your absolute piece of garbage and how much you changed the entire thing? And yes, I’ll keep talking about the changes because compared to the manhwa and the novel, this adaptation is unrecognizable. Even the manhwa didn’t have that many changes. I get that some small changes are necessary obviously, not everything can be shown exactly but the entire thing?! As if it couldn’t get worse, the worst of all is the director saying, “Swords are unrealistic.” ARE YOU ACTUALLY OKAY? IS YOUR BRAIN WORKING?! In a world that’s literally apocalyptic and fictional, not everything has to be modern or realistic giving it’s fictional it shouldn’t matter much,Anywyas it’s actually more reasonable and realistic to use a sword in an apocalypse than a gun. At this point, the director should’ve just left it at The prophecy instead. This show deserves a much lower rating I don’t care. I genuinely hope the director never makes anything again. And this, right here, is the reason why manhwas shouldn’t be adapted if you can’t do it right. If you can’t handle it properly, then don’t start with it to begin with!
