This movie is full of symbolism and complicated commentaries about censory, love (more specifically woman's reliance of romance in her life),as well as friendship. Such deep and adult themes are masked by the creative and sweet imagery presented in this film. The amount of symbols in this film is amazing and should not be just realized for the sake of the plot, but for one's own life and the world around them. For each charater demonstrates a certain aspect of the society we live in and even topics can let one have a deeper meaning of the main character and why she does what she does. This film does not just use the pastel imagery as an aesthetic but as a cover up of the deeper ideas about society, love, and even what it means to be a woman. This film should be viewed with the purpose to look into society and your own life by analyzing the symbolism, then it can become more than just a flm about kids in highschool. Everyone can learn something from this film, old or young, it is definetly worth a watch.
