Rafael Candelaria

This is Robert Eggers' best film. I've been a fan and this delivers all of Eggars strengths, incredible cinematography, strong acting and a sense of incredible dread. More disturbing than scary and the movie takes it time, which may turn off general audiences. Don't expect a typical slasher vampire film. It's a period movie with moments of horror. Lily Rose Depp is excellent, going through all kinds of terrible fits. She is the center of the film and the ending is quite stunning and incredibly creepy.
