Never watched the original and thank god because I don’t think a cartoon would have me crying real tears. The music was Amazon Halle as Ariel was amazing. I love Melissa as Ursula just wish her final scene was a little longer. Loved the skuttle butt song so much and did I mentioned I cried. I’m going to watch it again ! Also I want to add that the people that are going out of their way to put a one star review is ugly and hateful from the inside. I can’t call all of y’all racist because some of you are just negative about everything but for the most part we know y’all are mad that they casted a black woman for the role. Ohh boo hoo. Once every blue moon black people get a quarter or what you all get and you guys cry so loud about it. I never new there could ever be that much ugliness in this world especially towards one of the sweetest humans. To actually click “submit” after typing such negative and yet irrelevant things and over exaggerated lies, how do you feel good about yourself. Doesn’t make you feel like, “maybe I shouldn’t say all that cuz it’s not necessary “. Feel how you feel but the only reason why you guys want to share it is so other can help fuel your hate with you. There’s nothing your negative comments can do, change or even “fix”. If you sat in a movie theater and frowned at the screen for an hour and a half (which I doubt any of you did) then something may just be wrong with you personally and not the movie at all. And if you can do better than Disney, be about it and shut up. Have a wonderful or miserable day but keep everyone else out of it.
