As a busy farmer I'm not a great reader. This book was strongly recommended by a city-living friend. I found it incredibly interesting from a countryman's point of view and can also see the appeal for anyone who has ambition / a dream. The story of this hardworking couple is told with humour and warmth, without sparing the reader the harsh reality of lambing, and the constant battle with weather and nature. A good read for all!
