I am terrified of aliens! I was very excited to watch this movie from the day I saw the trailer, but it was not exactly what i was hoping for, or expecting. For me the movie was good until it wasn't. The movie started off very strong, with the fear coming from the unknown. I personally think them showing the aliens so much took away from the fear I had at the beginning where we just saw limbs or silhouettes. The CGI also seemed outdated-maybe even bad- that might come from the fact that the aliens portrayed are not as complex as aliens from other movies such as quiet place 1 & 2. The aliens were only there so would could get SOME context of why everyone seems to hate Brynn. The actual plot of the movie was pretty predictable in the fact that it is like she came to accept her past and now lives seemingly with the aliens. The bus scene in the movie I found to be extremely dumb. The movie was not all bad though. The bellows, roars, critters, and warbles the aliens made added to the fear factor to some degree, and the bones cracking from their movement and poses definitely left me feeling unsettled. The interaction between Brynn and the aliens seemed reasonable in the context. All in all the movie was not complete trash but not what i wanted. Again, it started off very strong but started losing momentum and never gained it back. I do recommend giving this movie a watch though. As it was still pretty interesting and at some moments had me at either the edge of my seat or sliding away from the screen and contemplating covering my eyes.
