To be honest, I am a huge fan of the book, both original and extended versions. I really liked the original TV miniseries because it captured the feel of the book. I honestly didn’t make it through all of the episodes of this version. It was just wrong, too many unnecessary changes. When you have a great piece of literature, stay true as you can to the source material. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
