This game feels unfinished with zero balance taken into consideration. Every single map can be glitched through. The layouts of maps seem to have been given very little thought beyond a concept instead of how they play out in real time. You can shoot through every single wall from basically any distance on the small- medium maps. The guns offer nothing to creative players looking to customize their experience. Either you use the meta or lose. Forget about sniper classes. ADS and flinch have made them useless which is highly disappointing. Thusly game play is incredibly restrictive.
Skill based damage is a concept that sounds good but does not work. A mechanic introduced in this game, it means that if you essentially rank higher than someone, it takes longer to kill a player of a lower rank. I.e. more shots. It does not reward you for growing your skills within the game and steadily scaling you into lobbies that are challenging and rewarding. This game is also not friendly for casual players and that is a HUGE consideration to take in when thinking about purchasing. Unless you're spending time grinding every day for gun unlocks (because of the extreme focus on gun upgrades as the only way to secure kills), you don't even have the opportunity to have fun. Lobbies are extremely sweaty with zero overall balance to player skill within ranks and individual games. I don't think I would have purchased this game, knowing that, when MW3 seems to be a much more balanced version of this game, just without the new guns and omni movement.
Lastly, the two things everyone is talking about: cheating and server stability. The AI software they apparently started using is ineffective. Every single lobby at every rank/skill level/hardcore and core is full of cheaters. I have never played a game so saturated with people using wall hacks and target tracking. It is bewildering. The worst part is, you can easily tell who is doing this in replays and nothing happens when you report them. They'll be in your lobbies the next day.
When talking about server stability, we're seeing about 75% of the player base reporting server disconnects, massive lag spikes, and game crashes. This was an issue before in the games prior to this, but bo6's release has every platform experiencing this multiple times a day. It's unacceptable. Not to mention, when loading in and out of matches your customization (emotes, operators, settings, loadouts) all have a chance to revert or completely reset.
I'm not sure how this game was released as is. The only hope is that massive changes come in patches-- and quickly.
I would not encourage purchasing this game until some of these things are balanced and patched... or unless you're buying it just for prop hunt, lol.
