I liked it so far
I don’t think elves characters were portrayed poorly, they are known for being much more reserved creatures compared to dwarves and humans .in lotr the only people who had any emotion were elrond when he was angry and legolas after warming up .if you have a problem with elves faces then you wouldn’t have liked lotr but apparently everyone is claiming they liked lotr but not this one!
The other thing is how people are angry with galadriel being too powerful and relating it to political issues of our current times while I understand how so many movies and shows are being destroyed by forcing political matters irrelevant to their story in their script but in this case it is far from truth or at least I don’t feel it.people claim they are mad because their favorite art is butchered by political matters ;well if it was your favorite art you would certainly know that galadriel is the most powerful elf that middle earth has and will ever see because of her origin.the other elves haven’t been weak so far they literally did nothing to show whether they are weak or powerful so I don’t know where these assumptions are being made from.lastly the fact that if you didn’t like it equals 1 star is showing many people were just biased from the start and are not rating the movie rather letting out anger because if you wanted to give an honest review the cgi alone would have deserved 3 stars.
Ps.the lack of action scenes is very understandable ;in lotr 1st movie the first half didn’t have many action scenes only arwen riding a horse and aragorn shooing the black riders with a few hand movements of his sword and fire .that is not called action and we all know it .if we want it to be completely like the movies then we should not have any major fights till the middle of the season!!
