For those whom are rating the live action show based on the games and other mediums of the Halo franchise, they need realize that to simple recreate something exactly or closely near the original is irrevelant and a waste of time.
Creative artists are taught and spend their lives perfecting the art of improving or adapting what they sense, whether through sight, smell, taste, etc.
Take the recommendations from shows like American Idol, they coach the contestants to not simply recreate the performance exactly, instead to make it their own. To give the subject their own creativity and flair.
Or take classic art matters like the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, or newer titles like the Witcher series. Each artist who has expanded the works within each of these, and other titles, took a particular theme, person, etc, and created them in the artists own interpretation or vision.
So what I am getting at here is to enjoy the show for it's own creativity and unique perspective rather than critiquing every difference between the show and the Halo series.
At least the show isn't shoving the LGTBQ movement down our throats like most shows are now a days.
