Disney-fied. I felt like I was watching a PBS program for children. My fault for going; anything Oprah Winfrey does smacks of a preachy liberalism. I think the film is marked as "A bold new take on the original." It is very bold to think you could make a musical with the emotional depth, the actor's absolute possession of their characters, and absolute horror of the reality with such power and sensitivity. This was disgusting and an insult, but Oprah must have attention.

Oppenheimer is 5 hours of C-span condensed into a 3 hour movie with an explosion somewhere in the middle. Meandering and stale toast dry, this movie tests the mettle of your attention span for no artistically conceivable reason. I don't know how the movie ends because I walked out.
