Ellen Fanning's coverage of Julian Assange was appauling.
She was unable to present fundamental facts about the case but spent most of the discussion denigrating his personality. Perhaps she should realise that the legal case is not about his personality but rather about persecuting an Australian citizen and freedom of the press.
Why was the guest selection so biased. Perhaps a guest from Julian Assange's support team who can present actual facts about the case could bring some balance to this frighteningly unbalanced and fact free discussion.
For the record Julian Assange was not charged with rape at any point.
He agreed to answer any questions however to do that in England due to his concerns that he would be extradited. These concerns are certainly being acted out right now.
How can they justify the right of a foreign country ruling over an Australian citizen when they weren't even in that country at the time.
Regarding redactions of names with the publishing of documents, Julian Assange made every effort to redact those names. It was Luke Harding from the Guardian who published the key that revealed names within the document. There has been no action taken against him.
It was found that no person has been harmed by the release of documents through Wikileaks.
Meanwhile the USA has plotted both Assange's capture and assassination prior to his arrest and incarceration in Belmarsh High Security Prison.
This programme was the epitome of journalism spreading misinformation.
