At first sight, I thought it was visually interesting and enjoyable. I always take any final fantasy franchise movie with a grain of salt and just saw it as stand alone. This one was intriguing enough to watch to the end, and I saw it at a shop new for 3$. So I purchased it on a whim knowing I'd like to enjoy it again. That is enough. I liked the characters, story was politically stereotypical & narcissistic, as is a lot of behind closed doors evils in society are becoming increasingly brought to light. Never believe anything at face value... movies have been trying to tell us for a long time
