Lots of people ripping the plot apart.
It's a movie. You're allowed to dislike it.
Personally, while I saw the majority of the twists coming, I still enjoyed it. Mostly it was the tone and cinematics that kept me watching. You could feel a mixture of grief, anxiety and perhaps suicidal delusional stupidity as you watch.
*spoilers*
As other point out, obviously she should have called the cops to avoid the entire problem.
But the story clearly she's this woman, in her words, "if I didn't have the horses to take care of I wouldn't get out of bed."
People don't know how to interpret a good script because movies these days hold their hand.

Despite it being a stupid decision, it really does make sense to her.
As for "the drug dealer is a petty criminal and they make him way too powerful" sort of points. How do? he's a fucking low life moron and she outsmarts him because she has an actual brain.
As to the logic of being actually able to pull off that hail Mary plan - that's why I gave it 4 stars lol. Not fucking likely.
Still a great flick.
