I love the Louise Penny mystery books. This program is missing a very large component of those books - the camaraderie and joy of the 3 pines people. This show makes them all sad and suspicious, closed up and wooden. It is missing the beauty of the small town made up of homes surrounding a center park where people walk from home to home to bookstore or bistro. The show's town is not a village but a rundown town. By having 2 mysteries in each 2 part show it takes only part of what happened in the book. While the acting is great, the premise is off
