WOW. I am blown away. Although I have only watched the first 5 episodes TONIGHT (at a friend's house who finally threw me out at 11pm),so far there is so much richness in this story. The interconnectiveness of the characters is masterful,- the scenery makes me want to get out a bottle of olive oil, smear it on my body (like I used to do at Kellia's age) and sit in the sun.And the simple everyday food shown -(the pastitchio baking in oven, the krinkly wrapping of the spanakopita in aluminum, the loukoumades sizzling,karpouzaki to always top a summer repast)made the saliva come to the corners of my mouth. I must say that yes, the English speech version is absolutely dreadful. I wanted to punch those actors in the face when I watched the first episode in English.They were Greek people doing very Greek things sounding like low class Americans. I made my Bostonian friend change it to the Greek version and my soul rested.I am so lucky to be able to look forward to the pleasure to come with this series..EUXARISTO.
