some of the acting a bit wooden and the daughter seems inconsistent (acts like a petulant early adolescent at times and other times almost world weary). Plot also a bit predictable.
Nonetheless, it was great to see the "other side" of the one euro home transactions/motivations; great to see a woman mayor in a somewhat traditional culture. I loved the 3 older ladies on the town square (gossip central) in the housedresses. Fun to see the renovation of the villa, some growth in the characters, the wonderful local characters and Italian actors. Not just the views, but a slice of smaller town Italy was a terrific break from the horrors on the world stage.
