Unlike most fans, I am not. Owens wrote beautifully throughout the book to where I felt as thought I’ve seen the marsh myself. Although I became enraged because Kya deserved so much better. The end truly shows how clever Kya was and it’s sickening in a way because she still did the deed. When you look at it from a different perspective, she was indeed what everyone mistook her for and I hate that she chose that path.
