I really like the show but it has focused so much on the black experience this season.Dr. Gates seems to enjoy focusing on the negative experience of African Americans...every nationality that has ever immigrated to this country has been subject to horrific abuse...not saying that slavery wasn't beyond awful.but it seems that by focusing on that evil and not on the successes that were made after that awful time in our history that Dr. Gates enjoys making people angry toward white people. He has made several negatives comments about African Americans having"white" blood..like it's the worst thing ever....my heritage is Irish..my ancestors were forced out of Ireland due to physical and mental abuse by the British....for centuries they were not allowed to practice their religion, own land, vote etc in their own country...I guess what I'm saying is. Dr. Gates needs to focus on the positive more and less on how "white folks are so bad....it's our history, like it or not..as long as we don't repeat it and learned from that awful time..were going to be good...
