I just watched the 1st episode & yes I agree with some reviewers that this drama is too confusing. If the writer did a bit more in depth research, he'll know that he has actually deviates too much from Islam way of teaching. But yeah, its netflix movie. what can we expect. Jin can be good or bad, sometimes non Muslim people confused jin with angels. In Islam, Malaikat (westerners might call them angel) is always good because they were always worshipping the one and only God. Just like human being. Iblis is the leaders of all Syaitans (devils) and he was created from fire. Syaitans will work hard to make us end up in hell & tell us to follow our desire because he will eventually be in hell. So basically, if the writer sticks to the story of Aladdin from the 1001 night tales and add some Korean culture to it, the story will be less controversial and more interesting. Disappointed since the actors are one of my favorites. Since we are at it, if you get confused while watching, keep reading about Iblis, Jin and Malaikat to find the truth and may you be guided to the right path.
