I have read nearly every book DB has written. The two previous books with Devine were excellent. This is one of the most boring books I have read, I have in fact skim read some pages to get to the next segment of the plot. I also notice that DB'S books are getting a lot more expensive. Have pre ordered on Amazon in the past for paperback editions and even got a discounted price. Now some are only available in hardback. Bought my last one on Ebay from World Books at a great price.

I think others have covered most points. In addition, why did the QC not drown the boy in the middle of the lake? He then decided to row back and lock him in a shed a 100yds away. WHY? He then decides to go to the cabin and light a fire? Obviously not expecting guests!!! A complete load of rubbish. Whoever decided to screen this should seriously consider a career change, as should the writer. I'm 74 years old and this rates at the very bottom of anything I have ever seen.
