Racism in the U.S. is not going away any time soon. The only way to defend against it is to be both respectable AND STRONG. We need to stand up as a race against any sort of bullying. We should all be Ip Man in spirit. The positive thing about this movie is that it showed that other than certain individuals, most Americans aren’t racists. For example, those girls on Yonah’s cheerleading team; most of the marine officers and the General; and even the immigration head had his moment of compassion when Yonah knelt down before him. Humanity is not lost in reality. We all have a choice to do good.
