Very much a C4 kinda movie. Got the impression J Whalley Kilmer was gonna pop up and not sure of the historical accuracy but portraying the Soviets as the Nazis is hardly balanced. Or New. American CIA involvement seemed to be a 'Lets cater for the REAL Market' Very much under Spielberg but then not necessarily a bad thing.

Killing Bond off! Masterstroke! Not even a Marvel character could come back from that? Good movie seemed to go Hit, Miss, Hit, Miss, Hit, which mirrors the original movies. Like the reference to OHMSS in closing tune. Much underrated. Looking forward to where it goes in future. Less product placement and Lotta Fagina type eye candy and hopefully back to basics. 1950's? Where is Sebastian Foulkes when you need him.

Long time coming to this. Why is it so contrived and completely 🤮 inducing. Was it targeted at an American audience? 🙄 Oh dear, makes Richard Curtis seem like William Shakespeare.

Quite good. Needs a few watches. Can understand why people over 80 years ago were struggling. Stands the test of time though could imagine the Coen Brothers version. Interesting fact is that when you Google the cast it says Victor Medrew was in it. Great acting because I suspect he was an embryo in 1941.

Looking for something to watch late Saturday evening. This came highly recommended on Netflix. Three episodes in before I realised its a remake of a good Jeremy Irons film from 30 odd years ago. Penny only dropped with the discovery/stair falling scene. Should've stuck to my only watch if Rotten Tomatoes scores 80%+ rule. And the promotional pic of the guy from Spooks standing with good actress from Rome behind him and his Happy Valley mistress and his son's fiancé in front of him yanking on her neck strap, precarious with wife directly behind you. And that's three folk not four. And they are saying its the new 50 Shades! Help, it's in my watch history! Aaaaaaaaargh. What does that ending mean? Pass the olives!

Who commisions this stuff? It's like an 80's supposed comedy film, Dan Akroyd is gonna show up at any moment I'll bet. Why even bother making this. So awfully baaaad! And not even in a gooood way!

Unconvincing acting, unreal premise.

This last series is so unconvincing, lacks cred and is derivative of Coen/ Welsh/and Fantasy Crim Scotland/ Establishment RBS/ Fred the Shred, what a mish mash 15 years off the pace. Did I miss a 'This is a True Story events happened in 19..! Phyllis Logan is not menacing no matter how sweary 'This is my City!' Usually go by RT ratings as indicative of good TV but 93%! Wow. What have I missed.

Just not doing it for me, it's all a bit Stardusty but with swear words and the main character is hard to take seriously. Keep thinking Richmond from IT Crowd.

Run of the mill first two chapters ? Then bam a lesson in reality and truth in the third chapter. Unnecessarily gory perhaps pandering to the wrong audience but ultimately a well told story, well Chapter Three is.
