Really good and refreshing romcom after a long while. Not the usual exaggerated cringe romantic movies. Although, bold of the maker to include the LGTBTQ concept casually and make it seem natural too. A lot of other concepts that would still be considered taboo in our society too. Although, nothing unnatural like extreme gazing, butt slapping, stalking the girl until she magically falls in love nonsense. This movie would have probably pissed of all the ultra conservatives, misogynists and cultists. Well, otherwise the music of thalaivar ARR made the flow even nicer to watch. Cinematography was nice, nothing special can be done anyway for the movie it is maybe. The entire movie paced really well except they could have removed that "Lavendar" song from the movie entirely too. End of the day it was a breezy grounded movie.

Was pleasantly surprised with this movie because I thought it was just going to be cringe. I think this is a good intro/part one movie for a specific character and genuinely pulled me towards the prime character of the movie. I am looking forward to the sequel of Wicked. Visual pleasing cinematography, music, and sound all worked together as a package which made this movie the way it is supposed to be (i.e. a fairytale fantasy movie). It did feel slow for me in the middle for a few minutes otherwise was good for the remainder in terms of screenplay.

Visually/Technically a solid world class film given the budget (the same budget as Hollywood's Oscar nominated film The Creator). In fact this film required more CGI than the Hollywood counterpart so, can be forgiven in some places. Strong storyline and beautiful world-building. The bad: Inconsistent screenplay, the first half was mundane and bit of cliche old commercial movie feels (in a scifi?). OVerall: A satisfaction witnessing Mahabharatam in a big screen. Amitabh ji was just splendid in this as Aswathamma! Just watch this movie in the biggest screen. Nag has given us a nearly 100% world class quality with this movie. I hope the second part is truly 100%

Plus: It is a cinematic spectacle with Hollywood touches everywhere and 100% delivery from a making point of view for the budget. This is the career best for Vijay as an actor and has become my favourite now since Thuppaki. The CGI Hyena was splendidly utilised. Music was bang on international standards. Rating: 3.5 Minus: Screenplay, Villain setup and conclusion were not as strong and organic as Vikram. CGI (other than the Hyena) felt was not finished properly given the limited number of scenes that required it. Some star actors were unexpectedly underutilised. The next movie should eliminate all these cons and deliver a movie like Vikram (writing perspective) and John Wick-like smoother visuals/cinematography/grading (if a better budget is allocated) would be a bonus. Loved it overall as a movie but I expected more as a film enthusiast!!!

This is by far the most enjoyable Series. Very very much better than expected. The show even has got it's own style of filmmaking and love the way they have narrated it.
